(US) President Donald Trump reported on Thursday that his regarded Deputy Director of National Intelligence was leaving, the most recent section in a wide reshuffle at the highest point of the nation's covert agent offices.
Sue Gordon spent 25 years in the CIA before winding up second-in-order to active Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and was in line to fill in as acting chief.
"Sue Gordon is an extraordinary expert with a long and recognized profession. I have been able to know Sue in the course of recent years and have created extraordinary regard for her," Trump said on Twitter.
"Sue has declared she will leave on August 15, which corresponds with the retirement of Dan Coats," Trump included.
